Saltwater Flyfishing, Tie 'n' Fly Outfitters, Buddina

So you may have fished with bait before or even lures and the odd soft plastic, but have you fly fished? Like really fly-fished? For those who have only caught trout on the fly, saltwater fly fishing is the pinnacle of the sport. It's the only place where you can experience 1 to 1 action with the ocean's speedsters such as Longtail Tuna, Mactuna, Yellofin Tuna, Mackerel, Trevally and many more.

Tie 'n' Fly Outfitters is a small business that has been taking people out on guided fly fishing tours for over two decades now. The store is located in Buddina, near Point Cartwright and a short 200m walk from the beach. The business offers Learn To Flyfish classes, casting lessons (for those who need to refine their craft), fly tying lessons (how to make the fish fooling lures that flyfishing uses) and guides on the ocean and freshwater (at Baroomba Dam). They also to overseas adventure travel flyfishing trips to Kiribati and Kuala Rompin, among other places. These are not for the faint hearted. A week in Kiribati will set you back about $2500 but it'll be a trip you'll never forget. For more information on the goods and services that Tie 'n' Fly Outfitters provide, visit their website or drop into their shop in Buddina.

Check out their facebook page for new updates and join in on the conversation. They also have a YouTube page with plenty of fly fishing footage.
